What it does

Electron API Tester is a simple desktop workspace for sending HTTP requests, inspecting responses and keeping request history locally. It is built with Electron, React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS.

Install

Download the latest version from the GitHub Releases page, or use the download button above.

Linux

An .AppImage for a portable install and a .deb for Debian and Ubuntu are provided.

sudo apt install ./electron-api-tester-0.1.0.deb
chmod +x electron-api-tester-0.1.0.AppImage
./electron-api-tester-0.1.0.AppImage

Windows

Download the .exe installer from the latest release and run it.

macOS

Download the .dmg, open it and move the app to the Applications folder.

Run it from source

You need Node.js 20+ and npm 10+.

cd electron-api-tester
npm ci
npm run dev

Build for your platform with npm run build:linux, npm run build:win or npm run build:mac. Output lands in the release/ folder.
